I “recently” started working on a game called “generic building game”.
It’s a small game where you can build and save your creations to load them later.
I would really like getting feedback and some playtesters for that game, since it doesn’t have many players, nor much players that rate the game. (3-8 players)
Moderators that moderate the game (griefers, etc.) would also be greatly appreciated!
Its a great simple building game that has plenty of promise! With loads of variety of blocks to play it can keep many people playing for a long time. The ability to save your build, see who built what, color your blocks, and load in tons of different options to build is amazing (From Spleef blocks to glasses of milk). Only a few problems with the game.
Optimization (It easily gets laggy overtime). I recommend you try to limit things like particle effects (As they can cause a lot of lag in the server)
Griefing. In games like these griefing is a big problem. I see you’ve taken some steps to avoid griefers but much more can be done. The ability to see who built what is a great addition you added. I noticed once someone leaves the server they’re blocks remain (Being owned by “No one”.) Because of this you cant get rid of these blocks. A vote kick option (As I presume you’re adding.) will be a great fix to prevent griefers ahead of time. A really dangerous block is the lava block. Griefers can spam this in a server and leave before they can kicked. I could go on and on about the problem with griefing that lots of games face, but I’ll save that for later.
You’re probably on your way with fixing these problems already! I just wanted to say you have a great game and with all the things your sure to add it will only. get better. Good luck on future development!

You can get rid of them, as they are owned by no one. Everyone can break them if they aren’t owned by anyone.
Griefers can spam this in a server and leave before they can kicked.
I already added multiple commands to kick griefers and delete their blocks, ban griefers and delete their blocks and delete all unowned blocks. When a admin is online, this could easily be fixed.
Now to the good part:
In the making of this comment, I already upped my framerate from 30 fps to 60 fps at 4500 blocks.
I hope I can add all your suggestions in the next few hours to days, especially the votekick command and reduction of particles on the lava block, including a setting to disable damage from lava blocks, which is enabled by default.
Thank you for your honest opinion on the game, we need more playtesters like you here
Edit: There is also a “anti-grief” system that kicks you if you place too many blocks in a minute.
Of course! I’ll be glad to play test it right away!
I’ll give you my feedback later.
Edit: Just got back from testing it. It works simply and well! Great job on adding that fast. Also you did change the lava block so it doesn’t kill anymore. Thats a good and a bad thing (Due to Obby makers out there.) but other then that it can prevent griefers from ruining others experience. Still would remove the particle effect from the lava block just to help the server just a bit in performance standards.
Overall a great addition and a very helpful update! Your on the road to having a great game that will have a loving growing community. Good luck on the future!
There’s not a whole lot to judge, the tools are pretty much a recreation of roblox’s 2014 ones. There’s not much I can rate as it’s mostly a baseplate and a empty spawn. I could delete other players buildings and build right next to them so this needs to be fixed. Also, there were people riding on bikes and using admin… most professional builders do not do this. Make a better lobby, create better options for users to not get abused. I read that you said you will ban griefers, but this is not effective as you will not always be in game. Definitely make a votekick.
Next time you playtest, I would suggest staying in the game a bit longer to find out things you missed (votekick, players can break all blocks that players placed that left).
This is true, but why should the world be bloated with decorations if the players should decorate the world with their structures?
You could do that because the previous owner of the block left the game.
Why should I restrict the building space of players?
Well, I am sorry that you experienced that, we will try to avoid abusing admin. And what do you mean by “most professional builders do not do this”?
You shouldnt become critical of feedback thats trying to help you @f1nniboy … I stayed in the game for 2 minutes and seen everything. The menu, the people, the builds, I tested each tool and I couldnt even figure out the magnifying tool. You can add design, music, skybox etc. I don’t think the previous owner left as there was a person (presumably) the owner on top of it. You should restrict it as I could build RIGHT next to the person’s build and make it look unpleasant. And, if you are a professional… you do not go into games flying around your own game + riding bikes. Lastly, the final comment meant as an overall comment relating to all of the criticism (like restricting player building space). I’m not going to test every single feature that you may or may not have just to see if its there or not, That is your responsibility to mention the features so I don’t have to test everything for you, I did not see the votekick option. I only saw a menu option. Next time you read something giving you feedback in which you asked for, you should be appreciative. If you were looking for beta testers + people to moderate your game, move your post to recruitment.
