Get Rid of Like Cooldown for Private Messages

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too difficult to engage in private conversation threads without creating bloat.

We have a “like” button for posts, so we don’t have to reply with “agree” or otherwise acknowledge a post. The issue, though, is that there’s a cooldown.

That’s good for the community when it comes to stopping the gaming of likes. But in a private thread, it makes the “I agree” kind of replies more frequent/needed. Someone told me likes in this way don’t count toward profile stats, and thus, the gaming of likes isn’t an issue here. If it is counted, I think that should change, so there’s no limit for PMs.

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t count towards it in any private category, even Development Discussion, so I think it should be disabled there too

It’s a serious problem, like for example, the “Notable Forumers GC” has been going for months yet we very often run out of likes for it.

Likes in all sections count towards profile stats.

If you want a proper functioning group chat use Discord like normal people. If you want to game the devforum and farm likes to artificially inflate your profile numbers, keep doing what you’re doing.

We aren’t farming, we just use group chats to talk to each other since it’s easier to remain all in one place.
