Getting “Asset is not trusted for this place” on my own modules

I’m trying to load a module by doing

game:GetService("InsertService"):LoadAsset("02793187864").Parent = game.RStorage.Modules

It’s this asset:

Used in this game:

As you can see I own both the asset and the place, still this error has started to appear regularly from this morning.

You’ve used a string instead of a number, I’m not sure if this makes a difference but it could be the root cause of the issue. Try removing the quotes from the ID?

You can’t use InsertService on things that aren’t free-models iirc.

If this is a module script, you should use require.

You can, so long as you own the asset (automatic if you’re the creator, must take the asset if not). InsertService loading is locked to assets that you have in your inventory or ones that are created by the Roblox account.

As for the matter on require, that would be sufficient enough if this was only intended to be a server-side asset. The code indicates that the ModuleScript is intended to be used by both the server and the client.

Personally, I think requiring by id and inserting are both as meh in this case - this is what packages exist for.

I am able to use InsertService on one of my own private model assets. Is this also happening for any of your other models or places? Does the issue also happen in RobloxStudio? Also, does it help if you remove the leading “0” in the asset id?

I’ve only detected it in lobby, but it could been happening on servers aswell. In which case the server wont load and the player joining will just leave.
The issue does not happen in studio.
I’ve removed the 0 and also made it an int instead of string, I’ll reply again if the problem persists.
