Getting concurrent players, and getting a game out there

Hello, I’ve been working on a game, and I think it’s ready to go into testing, but I need some consistent players to test. The game has been out for about 3 - 4 months now, and at any point in time players may just join it, but it isn’t consistent. I need at least 10 concurrent players, and that way I will be able to receive feedback, and more things I should add. But how do I get there? My game is already “out there”, but no one is consistently playing it. I’ve already tried advertising, but that didn’t go well. Here’s the game if you wanted to try it out.

For some reason these kiddos on DevForum are more interested in where you post your topics instead of what you post. Please consider answering my question. Especially if you’ve created a successful game before, how long did it take to get a consistent amount of players?

  • I like the game.
  • I like the game, but it’s not interesting.
  • I don’t like the game.
  • I hate the game.

Not everyone on the DevForum is a member, but I’m pretty sure that they can still answer polls. Try adding one, and you might get more feedback!

As for your game, I’ll check it out later and tell you what I think. :+1:

Now for my feedback! It’s a pretty cool game, and I can see what kind of game/game genre you based it off, but I feel like it’s missing a key component, that being things that you earn. Let be elaborate.

Perhaps when you eat a player’s circle, you get bigger, but what’s the difference between a player that has been playing for months rejoining versus a new player that just joined? Nothing! The player has nothing to show for they’re work, not a single thing. Maybe you could add special weapons that give a player an advantage over another(of course balanced to make sure new players don’t rage quite), or even simply some coins that can be used for new skins

On top of that, I can imagine that the game can quickly get boring. Maybe add different gamemodes, like a team gamemode, or add different maps, maybe even some power-ups!

Also, maybe you’re already planning to do so, but the GUI could use some fixing up. First impressions are important, and GUI is one of the first things a player sees when they join!

But, while I’d consider myself a fellow developer, I’m no expert, so if you feel any of these things don’t work for your game, or would be too difficult to add, feel free to ignore it. Every game is different, and each developer has their own set of capabilities!

But anyways, nice game! With some fixing up, and some rejoining incentives, you’re game could be ready in no time!

Make sure to sponsor(whether it be on Roblox or on social media) once you’re ready, and only when you’re ready!

Good luck!
