[GFX] First Work

Hey there! I have been working on my first real Graphical Effects image, and I wish to know your opinion on it.
For people who do GFX for a passion, or even for commissions please may I know ways I could possibly improve? Many Thanks!

Please note the glasses were made in photoshop, along with that the pose is a bit weird but I would be taking more time if I was doing it more propperly.

Have a good day

The only down side is the lighting. I can’t see the character face well.

It looks pretty good, but I think you should mess with the lighting a bit more. Lighting can be tricky, especially when you’re new to rendering and making GFX art but you’ll get the hang of it.

Thank you for this feedback, I shall work closely on focusing on the lighting on the characters character along with clothing.

Thank you for this, like I said to the other poster, I shall focus on the lighting a lot more. Thank you so much for the positive feedback along with the advice.

No problem! I enjoy giving advice to people, it is a nice way of giving back to the community.

Considering that you stole the background, I would give this a 2/10.

The background is a image of google, I am planning of going out soon to take some of my own images.
But thank you for your honest feedback.

It looks like you slapped on a random google image as the background. The lighting is not that good too, it’s a bit dark. There isn’t a lot of detail (apart from the background). 4.5/10?

Thank you for your feedback. I was attempting to do the highlights and shadows but they didn’t work as expected. Thank you for your feedback though.

Images can be copyrighted. You literally stole somebodys’ hard work by not crediting them and passing it off as your own work. If you ever do work for clients and use copyrighted images to advertise somebodys’ game, you can get in legal trouble.
If you do want to use stock photos, use it from unsplash.com, credit them, and make sure that the background isn’t the main piece.
