Currently on console, There is a lack of control for the user when joining servers.
Consider this. When clicking the play button on a Roblox game. You join a randomly assigned server. Now, there could be a TOS breaker ruining your experience (eg an exploiter loop killing everyone in the server). Or you may wish to find a smaller/larger server.
In these situations, your only solution really is to leave the server. However, you are very likely going to unintentionally rejoin that server or you will run into many problematic servers but your only way of escaping them is through luck. This is even worse in games with fewer concurrent users and bigger server sizes and fewer servers because you’re more likely to keep unintentionally joining problematic servers.
But let’s say, you have a friend playing in the same game as you. In this case, you will automatically join their server. However, you may not wish to play in a friend’s server for whatever reason (eg exploiters).
Unfortunately, You’re forced to only play with connections if they’re in the game you wish to play.
Your only options on console is to unfriend their Roblox account, possibly find another friend’s server (however you can run into the same issue again), play on a new device (eg mobile) where you have control over which servers you’d like to play on (via server list), or not play the game until your friend or ALL your friends leave the game.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, by allowing console players to view and join servers just like users on PC and mobile (server list). it would improve my experience and other console players’ experiences because we will have much more control over servers via the server list.
The server list should be just like the server-list that is available to users on PC/mobile. Allowing you to choose which private servers and public servers you want to join.
With this new server list option for console players. If an exploiter is ruining the server by loop killing everyone for example, we can simply leave the server. And CHOOSE a different one from the server list.
