Hello, this topic is more for my research of global illumination. Roblox lacks features to make Roblox games more realistic, which makes sense since they only target games for kids.
I’ve found a way that can let me ‘mimic’ global illumination and afford to run it..
It’s still on early stages, optimizations have to be made and more tweaks into the code to replicate realistic lighting.
Here is a showcase of what I got until now, sorry for bad quality, this forum limits the file size one person can send.

Amazing work! Can’t wait to see more improvements and how you did it!
It’s sad that Roblox doesn’t natively support some kind of GI (Global Illumination), it’s even sadder that we can’t use soft lighting together with realistic lighting (it would make GI methods using lights 100X better considering that soft lighting doesn’t have specular light (or whatever the shiny ball area on an object is called))

This might be one last reply for today.
Light can pass trough glass objects now.

This is very cool work! I have some guesses as to what you are doing to accomplish this but will you be providing a breakdown on your methodology? This looks very good.

There are more to talk about it, but one feature that truly optimized it was using parallel luau. I released the module I use for it here https://devforum.roblox.com/t/async-advanced-parallel-luau/4914171
Once I get a stable version, I’ll talk more about it, but until then it’s still under development and will take me some more time.
Ah no worries then. I’m looking forward to seeing how this project progresses, it’s promising work.
