Good Marketing Practices Using Nothing

My Game: 🔻GoDown🔻 - Roblox

What can a player with no Robux, no contacts to help me market on twitter or Discord, and no money do, i.e. what could I do when I’ve got nothing?

When you’re marketing your game, you have to put yourself out there in the open:

Get a Twitter and Discord. If you want your game to reach far, I suggest exploring in social medias and using them as a platform to voice about your game and other developments.

Additionally, the expectation of marketing your game is having it be playable and to have a good attention span.

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but in my humble opinion: your game does not seem to be suitable for a beta release.

  • UI’s are a bit too big and need to be shrunk down. (There’s a lot on the screen and it can be confusing to new players entering the game.)

  • Good concept for the game, but the execution needs to be more simplified.

  • Lobby needs to be reworked. (If not reworked, at least more defined. Something simple and memorable. I suggest playing other games and taking a look at their lobbies. What did their builds accomplish? How was it approached?)

  • Game Icon coloration seems to be lacking, color palettes need to be explored. (Thumbnail as well.)

I believe there’s more to be said, but you get the idea. It’s worth mentioning that when you market a game, there is some grand expectations for it. It’s important for those expectations to be fullfilled one way or another.

I think it’s worth creating a separate topic post, discussing about your game, feedback on what you can improve.
