When using tools such as Select, Move, and Scale, and selecting one of the toolbar options (1 stud grid, 1/5 stud grid, or no grid) I expect that, as has been the case for over 15 years, the objects I am manipulating will do so within the boundaries of that grid (move by 1 stud at a time, or 1/5 stud at a time, scale as such, etc.). However, no matter what is selected, all of the tools mistakenly operate as if there is no grid selection. I am not opted into any related Betas.
In this example, I have two neighboring parts, and one is selected. As you can see at the top of my screen, 1 stud grid is selected, and I am going to be using the “Move” tool to drag this part 1 stud towards me.
Instead of the part moving in 1 stud increments, it is draggable as if there is no grid selection enabled whatsoever. In this photo, you can see a very short distance that the part has moved.
This is the distance that I expect the part to have moved if working correctly, snapping to this distance, as it is exactly 1 stud. I could only accomplish this movement for my example by enabling a user created plugin to make the 1 stud grid snap manually.
This also does not work with the 1/5 stud snap option either.
