Group announcement banner sometimes shown cropped

Sometimes when I visit my group page, the announcement banner image is unexpectedly cropped despite being the correct aspect ratio and usually shown uncropped.

The only thing that fixes it is refreshing the page.

I suspect the issue is related to the page lazy-load and resource caching, and/or some sort of responsive cutoff in the page styling. The problem does not reoccur after I’ve visited the group page and refreshed. It only reoccurs once in a while, every few days or something, or maybe on a fresh PC boot, I haven’t checked.

Also note, the image has different padding/margins when it is cropped incorrectly.

Are you still experiencing this issue? We did make a handful of minor changes here right after the new year which may have already resolved it. If you are still experiencing it, would you be able to inspect the image and share the URL it is using when you get the incorrectly cropped version? So far I have been unable to reproduce it myself but it definitely sounds like a caching issue.

I haven’t seen this since, so I’m going to mark this solved. I’ll post a new bug if it occurs again.
