Groups / Communities somewhat recently received the ability to distribute income on a per-experience level which is an incredibly useful feature, and is great for managing revenue at the point of earning. However, another feature that would pair greatly with this is Fund Pots. This would allow finer management over revenue that is held within the group for longer periods.
Here is a visual of this concept showing how this feature could work. Every group / community would have a Main pot assigned by default and be non-removable. Any share of revenue not assigned anywhere would fall back to this pot and act as the central store of funds similar to how funds are currently handled.
In this menu each split has an overall share of the revenue which can be updated, any remainder will be assigned to the main split. Then within each split, its respective share can be distributed further either into the associated pot or users.
Within the Pots page, new pots can be created and assigned custom names. Funds contained within each pot would also be transferable between other existing pots, ideally instantly as all funds would remain contained within the group / community. If a pot is deleted while containing funds, all of its contents would automatically transfer to the main pot.
For one-time payouts any pot can be chosen to pay funds out of, the default being the main pot. New role permissions would be created to provide access to editing pots, and any changes made would be logged within the audit log.
Having this feature would make managing multiple projects under one group / community much easier, as did the addition of per-experience management.
