In the community configure page (under Members), if you search the display name of a user that is in the group (or begin to search it), they will not appear. You must type their EXACT username to find them.
As you can see in the video, I search my own username, and I appear. I then search my display name, with no results.
Expected behavior
The member search feature should function like the Friends CONNECTIONS search feature, where users are displayed if you type their display name/username or similar.

It would be very useful for groups if one could search display names and if there happen to be multiple members with the same display name, the search result could display multiple people in the result.

Support for display names in this search has never existed, hence this falls under a feature request rather than a bug report as you’re requesting added functionality

okay i guess, but why doesn’t it support display names if connections does along with literally every other user search system
