I have a problem with a new group that I’ve made [Trollface Inc.ᅟ - Roblox]. Every single time someone joins they do not get the first role of the group which is “Supporter”. They just get the new “Member” role that got added sometime recently and that’s it. I have to add the “Supporter” role to new members manually.
I joined on my alt here and the first role which is “Supporter” is not granted automatically and on my alt it only says that I am a “Member” as I will show in the next screenshot.
To my understanding, unsure if its true Roblox no longer applies any other roles upon a members join into a group other than the “Member” role, though you can rename the role itself and apply different permissions. So i’d personally just delete the “Supporter” role and rename the “Member” role to “Supporter” and transfer the permissions.
About this, it may be because of those group roles being older. Since I noticed a bit ago that if you had a role with the ID 1, before the new “Member” role it automatically applies it. So perhaps your Supporter role is just newer? Ofcourse I don’t know if this is true just my theory
Well this just seems to very likely be a bug and group roles that are old don’t seem to matter. On the rest of my groups the role I want to automatically grant people on joining has the ID of 1 and it works perfectly fine.
I appreciate your suggestion but doing what you suggested is like giving perms to the @everyone “role” on Discord instead of actual other roles. I would like to directly have the starting automatic role back like on all of my other groups how it has always been.
this can happen with old groups too, all it takes is deleting the role that is autoassigned upon join. which is what happened to me unfortunately. ever since then i’ve had to manually assign the role to new members
@n3kuri and @bakekujiraa are correct. Roblox’s new features for groups place new members in one role. You would have to manually go through each member and role them yourself.
