I’m having a problem with my game GUI. When I play on mobile, tablet, or PC, the UI elements like buttons and frames stretch or look really off. I’ve tried messing with ScaleType, AnchorPoint, and UIScale, but nothing seems to work properly across all devices.
Does anyone know a good way to make GUIs scale correctly and look consistent no matter what screen size or device someone is using? Any tips or examples would be awesome!
Use UIAspectRatioConstraint to have square icons be consistently square. If you notice that they begin to shrink and leave big gaps in between each other as a result, consider playing with the AnchorPoints as they affect how the UI shrinks/scales (ex: putting anchor point in center will make UI shrink/scale toward/from the center).
A good idea could be shrinking the frame to be very short by default, then expanding it with AutomaticSize Y or XY. Then to ensure gaps between the icons, use UIListLayout or UIGridLayout and add padding.
This way, you’ll have icons that don’t leave a bunch of space in between.
