Having players stay on an animated ship

Hi, this is my first time posting, I don’t know if this belongs in the Scripting Support category or not

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
    I want a ship that players can stand/move around on
  2. What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
    the issue is that once someone tries to board the ship, the player doesn’t move with the ship
  3. What solutions have you tried so far? Did you look for solutions on the Developer Hub?
    I couldn’t find anything that related to such an issue, i only found moving platform videos, but those can only go one way

Okay, thank you for telling me

I would use ray-casting to test if the player is on the ship then using a “RenderStepped” function
subtract the last frame CFrame of the ship from the realtime CFrame of the ship.

Rotate/Move the player from the fixed center pivot point of the ship by the resulting CFrame stated above.
