V 2.0 :

Original post starts… NOW!
(Note, see version control for updates)

I have been modeling awhile and finally have something to share and could use some help on.

I worked on it for awhile, and it is nice.

I call it, my
Jacked up Tree.

Why is that?
Well, I cannot climb up it, because the collision of the mesh is not precise, and could use your help, help n the tree so we can climb up it.

Here is my model, of it:
jacked up tree.rbxm (3.3 KB)

It looks like this

But that is added texture from the incredible Roblox Material Generator tool, …

When I try to jump on it, or get up close to it, I look like this

I can not get up close to my Jacked up Tree, to climb it.

That would be fun to climb.

Enjoy my creations, and if you can help me on the J U T , please do.
U Rock!

Please comment and add game suggestions!

Did you make the Mesh CollisionFidelity property PreciseConvexDecomposition?

That is what I have been looking for, but , man I cannot find it on the Properties, for some reason.

Select the MeshPart.
In the Properties window look in the Collision section. It should be there.

Ah,

yes!!

there it is

I am so happy now !

THANKS Scottifly !

Should I add a cool rope swing to my Jacked up Tree?

I have a model I was thinking of adding to this creations, where you could swing, off of a rope swing, that is attached to my Jacked up Tree.

I think that would be nice !

Update:

How would you make a working rope swing?

It has been a dream of mine

UPDATE:

Hi all,
Thanks for continuing to check out my Feedback & Help for my Jacked up Tree!

So we can keep track of progress, I have implemented versions control and will roll that as updates come.

Update to V 1.2.0
Improved my Jacked up Tree, by creating two meshes , one for the bark, limps , branches, and another for the leaves, which I then duplicated , scaled and such to make the upper leaves area, what’s that top part called?

Here is an update photo of it. I also added a skybox, changed Lighting settings and added some colorcorrection to it.

I still need to do some more to the tree, and get a nice outer branch to tie my rope swing to.

I also added some terrain, using a part to terrain plug in, and some erasing… more to do

What do you think of the update?
I think it looks nice!

Also I will be adding Tips, so you all can make cool stuff like this.

TIP 2:
Some people like to add ColorCorrectionEffect, to your Lighting . then kick up a bit, Contrast and Saturation. This might give some POP to your colors… . Don’t go crazy tho on them tiger!

TIP 3: Also play with different SKYBOXs , and Lighting setting relating to these… I like to have a darker sky area, and then illuminate areas I want the player to see more.

Here is have changed , 4 specific values properties, to get it not as bright, less shadows and time of day, darker.
