So I want to try recreating the helmet camera from HELLMET (HELLMET [OPEN ALPHA] - Roblox) , and so far I’ve gotten it to look fine and attach to the player. It’s the movement that is the issue. When walking it tilts to one direction, and I can still scroll into first person, which makes the camera freak out and unplayable ![]()
Hoping someone could help me with this, thanks
please provide videos and/ or scripts bc rn we have nothing to work with
If this is what you mean. Though not sure there’s really much to elaborate on
ignore the audio
Are you changing the CFrame of the character? (Or just provide the whole script if you like)
Blind guess here on what is happening.
If a camera is attached to a moving part and is continuously updated to match it, the camera moves with that part. Simply switching the camera to different parts without ongoing updates won’t make it follow the movement.
All that’s being changed is the camera’s CFrame. Think it has to do with Roblox’s default movement being affected by the camera
Uh… What.
Isn’t that just rephrasing what I did..?
I think what I said is hard to understand too
. I ran into this with a car build, bumper view. This is what fixed it after looking at how Roblox did the same thing with their model car. I don’t know if this is your issue; it just sounds familiar.
probably, could you share the code or not?
I’ve made my own helmet camera system before, and I’m currently working on a game with it, I had this same issue. The problem for me was humanoid.AutoRotate or something of that sort. It’s related to AutoRotate and you have to set that to false.
Its probably something to do with the weight or collision. Make sure all parts of the helmet are non collide, and maybe even set them to massless, and see if that makes a difference
