What do you want to achieve?
I want to get my game well known, WITHOUT spending Robux.
What is the issue?
I have seen so many people saying to spend thousands or even just hundreds of Robux to get their game advertised. As I am just releasing my first game, I have no budget. I am solo releasing a game.
What solutions have you thought of so far?
I have thought of using the bulletin board on the DevForum, but that doesn’t seem to have a good effect.
Should I still stick with the bulletin board, but make the post look way higher quality? I realize that the experiment post that I did was just a few words. Any ideas for making my game known for free? Or is there no real way and I should invest in ads? (btw let me know if this is the wrong topic)
You need to bid robux so you can sometimes still get your game advertised with only a very small amount of robux. If not, then try posting on social media.
Once you can get like 30 players playing then it will later spread.
None of my games are known so I probably don’t know anything I am talking about
I used to run ads but now I don’t need to. You just need to get some friends to join your game, wait until the player count reaches around 20 and then it’ll appear in peoples “friends played this game” list and more and more people will start playing it.
Make sure your game has potential, would you play it if it was known? It doesn’t matter about what audience it attracts, it matters about your preferences.
To get a game out with no currency is hard, start off slow with inviting a couple of your friends to play the game with you. If your friends reject the offer, try advertising the game on #help-and-feedback:cool-creations
I and a lot of others frequent it a lot to give feedback along with enjoying the game.
Don’t advertise it frequently on the sub forum, only when there’s changes to the game (not minor changes either) as it’ll be seen as spam and violation to the rules.
