this has been driving me crazy for so long and im a huge stickler for details. font searchers arent helping me and usually get something more “new” and not something existing as far back as 2009
Help me find the exact font from the back of the guest shirt.
going through lists of fonts, i find some that are very close but lack a few details that immediately shut it down as the exact one. why do i need this? I like being as accurate as possible. and no one has solved it as far as i know.
to help you with my search (and see how insane i am), here are some details ive noticed that make this font different from others:
compact and bulky appearance; some letters like nt in account are very close to each other and some letters nearly connect into themselves (c, e, g, a)
the exclamation mark is the same height as the l, h, and k, and has uniform width
the top of the letter t is slanted and it has a curved end
y has a curved end and the top part is not a ‘u’ shape
the a has a slight curved end
top section of the f looks squashed
the letter w appears pinched towards the bottom
the circular part of g is different from o (more narrow & oval)
uses the fancy a but not the fancy g
basically, the letters you need to look out for the most for is g, a, t, y, c, w (and !)
i hope to call all typography enjoyers that recognize over a thousand fonts to help me narrow down what this could be. join me in the madness ive made for myself

good guess, but the c and t gives it away that its not the right one. the ! is also shorter than l and k. the c has a horizontal cut end while dejavu sans has a vertical cut end
not too long really, i just kept testing until i was like “yeah, that matches well”
It’s not 100% there, but its pretty close to the actual font. I used photopea as well which has a lot more limits then photoshop, so i’m sure someone will get the 100% accurate version soon enough.
i didnt think of using outlines before thats really helpful!
i experimented some more with an old version of photoshop and i found out that arial with aliasing gets pretty close (bolded & 7pt)
i tried combining bold arial with an outline with a regular one with no outline
i used the aliased text, blurred it slightly, and made a copy lowered in opacity
same aliased text but i tried using transformation to add the anti aliasing + several copies
anti aliased + bold + outline in 11pt then resized. i thought since thats the default for text sizes, maybe they used that. plus the original has some roundness to it which only happens in larger sizes
i think with confidence the font is arial; but how to replicate the exact look i dont know. the text has weird irregularities in character spacing and width that i wonder what program would even do that
