Help me figure out what I should do with my new game

Hey guys,

I released a story based obby game yesterday and I need feedback on it. I have only about 6.3k Robux and I already spent 1k on sponsor, I just want to know if I should buy more robux and advertise it more or I could use that money for my next game. I’d love to know your thoughts on it!

Thanks!

I didnt want to go in the game, but you need to change things:

  1. Dont put tags in your description
  2. Add a badge so that people will complete your obby for something

Dont sponsor, its a waste of money

Even though it was said before, remove the tags from the description. In my opinion, it does not give off a good first impression.

After playing for a bit, there were two things that bothered me:

  • The introduction cutscene that players are forced to watch is painfully long. I get impatient really fast so maybe it’s just an issue for me but I’m pretty sure that entire cutscene was around 1 1/2+ minutes long. Maybe add a skip button for cutscenes?
  • The obstacles tend to come off as a bit lazy. What I mean by that is the classic lava jumps, lava maze, and “choose the correct path” obstacles that almost every obby game has. I would suggest trying to come up with more unique obstacles!

Other than that, it was a nice experience! I personally do not like obby games so I didn’t play for too long, but the builds were very nice.

Noted! removed the tags too… there are a variety of obstacles like moving cars swinging axes etc…
The game starts off easy and it gets harder and new obstacles are also introduced.

Gotcha! That’s my bad, I should have played more before touching on that subject!

at the last stage, it’s a maze filled with alien npcs constantly chasing you and you have to find your friend in that maze.

You did good on the intro cutscene, but it felt very very long, so I do suggest shortening it. And one thing that did not make sense was the loading screen after the cutscene, the cutscene is longer than the loading screen, and I have a feeling that the loading screen is just there so it makes it look like it is loading something. Now for the UI, the UI SFX is a bit weird and doesn’t fit. And the Currency display, kill all button, and skip stage text dont fit with the 8bit text in the loading screen and shop. The UI should also probably look more low poly/cartoony because of the low poly setting. And the game does feel like you smacked a bunch of free models together. Besides all of that, decent game.
