Help me figure this detailing and material work!

Let me get straight to the chase.

I’m trying to figure out a good material for this governor’s mansion I’m building.

I’m using meshes cause, they look good and stuff and the rest might and will usually be blocks.
When you turn a mesh into a certain material, it might look weird at some areas of the meshes, and my detailing at the moment cant be noticed, kind’ove.

It just looks plain.

Let’s say the problem is just, how should I do things for this?

And I was hesitant if this was the right place to do so,

Any tips or suggestions and stuff?

You could try putting them in marble, or granite, or maybe even slate? Perhaps make slight colour variations like making some parts darker and others lighter to make them stand out (not too much) while still blending in nicely?

Look at real examples and use what those use.

Yes, I’m currently referencing for it from the Mansion in Alabama

Use a custom open source texture if you’d like something new, to keep it simple, just add the concrete material.
