Help me with marketing

“So it happens all the time”

:round_pushpin: I’m Bloxvin, I have made many games before and projects with my team. The games I make fail at the end of the production by the lack of playing.

:round_pushpin: Most of the games I did were published with a budget of around 10k for advertisements with an average ctr. They’re of average quality in gameplay and theme.

:round_pushpin: The problem with that is that, they eventually die out after 2-3 days of advertisement ( advertisements only bring around 10 playings ). Even tho I have community servers and all the stuff, barely anyone joins them.

Questions:
( 1 ) How do developers get their first successful game? ( usually on a low budget )
( 2 ) [ If you have a successful game rn ] How did you develop your first successful game?

Let me hear your stories before getting your first successful game , it will be a blessing for me, thanks.

Do not advertise. Advertising is a bad way of sourcing players.

I would find a YouTuber/streamer or something like that and pay them to make a video about your game. I’ve seen many people become famous this way.

It’s really about how much effort you put into your creation. I don’t know what games you made, but something like “Robux Simulator” or “Prison Roleplayer EXTREME” will not make it in the long term. A lot of these successful games are the first in their area, they have a uniqueness that keeps players coming back. My suggestion would be to simply Google some ways to make your game more “engaging” and how to make something that players will want to return to; Things like appropriately rewarding players for tasks, captivating plot lines, unique gameplay, that sort of thing.

Most of them usually ignore the partership requests, any tips on contacting them?

The game is averagely engaging with the play time of 5 min ( some people quit on the start so ), the problem is that I can’t rely on advertisements

There were some on the DevForum offering their services a couple weeks ago, but that may have changed due to the collaboration category being removed…
