Can you help me find why my user’s impressions are going down rapidly?
And what should I do to resolve this issue and increase my user impressions?
I mean its kind of obvious.
Its a copy of natural disaster survival.
Why would people want to play a copy of a game that already exists and basically everybody knows of? There is no point.
You’ll have to somehow beat NDS in some aspect of your game, whether its better UI, more disasters, more music, more items, whatever it may be.
You have to outcompete your competitors, its always like that irl. Think “What do they have that I don’t?” and it will improve the games overall experience.
As for the game.
I mean, the UI looks kind of ugly, and some things clip off the screen like the intermission bar at the top, ruining the player experience. And things dont match, like you got one style for GUI, and others for the leaderboards? The GUI also seems very big, it takes up most of the screen.
The music is generic, nearly every game has default toolbox music, and people heard it so much, its just ruining it. Also some songs just don’t fit at all, its supposed to be a disaster, while theres jazzy funk playing in the back like its no big deal, or at least thats the tracks I have gotten.
You can also skip the intermission, but why? the intermission time is usually used to buy upgrades or something else, discuss what happened e.t.c. If you rob them of that time, you dont give them time to buy stuff. Make it so all players have to agree, or shorten the intermission time a tad bit.
Also the lobby seems very bland, and full of grey, add more color as it seems depressing, maybe add more NPCs? The choice is yours, just dont make it bland.
But its good that you have returning players, that will help you with the player count in the future.
I guess you can advertise more, or apply some changes to your game.
Remember, if you dont find your own game fun, dont think others will, you have to be excited to test, tweak and make sure everything is phenomenal for the release, make sure everything is perfect, and that its fun.
I would also get some friends or playtesters to give you more descriptive feedback than I am now, this will make your game strive, as if you can improve on opinions other than your own, this will boost your game, and make it more relatable as others put their views on it.
tl;dr the game is just a copy of NDS, not original, try to outcompete their game, and get some more feedback.
Thank you! I’ll try my best to improve my game much further, I will probably update it on weekends due to school
I think I found the Biggest root cause of this, and it’s the fact that everytime a player finishes an obby for the second time, they get kicked for “exploition” due to me not changing the time() variable to workspace:GetServerTimeNow()
