Hey, I am currently building a cafe and I am having trouble thinking of the interior part of the cafe. I thinking of building a coffee bar, as shown as the circular bar that is unfinished, and I still need to finish adding all the chairs. The issue is that I feel like something is missing and that more of the space could be filled with better things. I have a few pictures uploaded, feel free to give any feedback and suggestions that come to your mind.
Definitely add more tables and chairs. Maybe add a nice aquarium to make the place have a more-like-home type of feel. I would add rugs and red carpets as I think it would go very well with the style you have.
I would highly suggest adding more pictures inside instead of an Ariel view. I would add booths to make the cafe not only be chairs and tables. Add a fountain maybe and add cool pictures of food on the walls.
Thanks for the suggestions! I am planning on adding more chairs but I wanted to wait to see if I could fill up any of the space with other things. Your suggestions really helped.
References are your key! Google up different images of cafes, coffe bars and see what small details they have that you could add.
Think of paintings, posters, plants and other small decorative items that can be found inside a cafe. Adding cups, glasses and other things on the tables could make the place feel a bit more living as well.
I would suggest making something very warm and inviting, some more furniture. Perhaps a fireplace if you want something to resemble a seasonal look. Or even a forest with an assortment of colored trees. Nice work on the building.
I know your focusing on interior design but looking at both perspectives can give you a very interesting build.
I have never been good with furniture but I am currently working on adding new things that will hopefully go with the warm and inviting theme. I have a fireplace in a room but I might add another fireplace like you said. As for the terrain, I was thinking of using low poly to build some sort of a beach but I’m not sure yet. Although I’ll definitely try out the forest idea to see if it matches better! Thanks for the tips and suggestions it helped a lot.
I will definitely post my progression in a few days. I’m not sure how to do that best though; should I make a new post or should I just update this one?
Overall a nice aesthetic however I would implement better flooring as having it all brown looks a little basic and looks like a medieval mud floor. I would also say that you might want to consider a few paintings/ decor on the walls and perhaps some sofas on that particular empty side as many café’s have.
