Hey everyone! To summarize I’m looking for someone creative to help me out as a game designer on a project I’ve been building.
For context, I’m not here asking you to give me a whole game’s concept. We’ve built a foundation of the game, which took us a few months of work and right now we are trying to come up with more gameplay aspects that could make the game entertaining and balanced.
As said, I’ve already developed the core concept and foundation of the game, and we’ve made good progress with the visuals and early level design. Below are a few pictures of what we’ve got so far.
About the Game:
- It’s set in a rocky, atmospheric world , where a mining group has crashed into mysterious and unknown realms.
- The game follows a linear progression (think DOORS -style), not open-world.
- Gameplay focuses on a mix of puzzles, parkour, and exploration .
- Game is broken down into stages. Each stage is handcrafted to offer a unique challenge—mystery, mechanics, or physical interaction. Nothing too complicated, but always engaging.
- Player get’s only one life. There are healthbars, voids and many more to kill the player.
There is a lot more done and planned most of which can be discussed individually, if intrested.
We’re using a tool inventory system as well. For example, one stage might require finding a key to unlock a door, another might be a collapsing wooden bridge where timing and movement matter where tools arent required. There’s a lot of potential for creative stage design using simple mechanics in fresh ways. Some tools are used for the players benefit, such as bandages, torches, potions etc that can be found while looting.
Right now, I’m stuck brainstorming new stages and puzzle ideas. If you’re someone who enjoys designing levels, creating mechanics, or just want to collaborate on a cool atmospheric game then I’d really love to work with you! You don’t have to have a deep understanding of Roblox Studio, you could view it from a player’s perspective to help me with suggestions as well.
