Help with friend joining system

I recently changed my game’s place structure so that ReservedServers are in the starter place and NOT a sub-place. Now, whenever I try join via a friend, it just kicks me instead of letting me join then saying “Your friend is in a restricted part of this experience”.

Is there a way to fix this?

Have you tried enabling “Direct Access to Places” in the Creator Hub?

That’s already enabled in the first place
That’s not really the issue though..

Before I migrated my ReservedServers to be in the starter place, it used to NOT kick me, so then I could teleport them to the ReservedServer if they joined via a friend.
Now however, Roblox kicks with an error code, meaning I can’t catch the error and I can’t teleport them.

No, you can’t do this, and you can’t find a walkaround.

Every single game that does such teleports to a reserved server ALWAYS uses a sub-place, and infact, that’s how it was made.

So you can’t fight this, and you cant find a solution.

To answer your concerns…

Exactly, that’s cause you can’t join the player if the server was reserved in the StarterPlace.

Thats because it’s reserved, and you can only join reserved servers through TeleportToPrivateServer, and not through the join button!

That forum clearly stated this:

Which as you can see, Reserved Servers can only join root places.

This is the only solution

Make the sub-places hold that ReservedServer, not the StarterPlace.
And your issue will be fixed.

i already fixed it 10 days ago
