My game is doing fine but is very far down on the popular sort, next to other games sporting sub 100 players. It has no crashes and good playtime.
Are there reasons this may be?

I believe the popular page placement compares you with other games in a similar genre or style as yours. That means you’re getting compared to games like Brookhaven and Adopt Me, and comparatively that puts you lower than you would be if player count was the only factor.
Those are the top, but it is suspicious why a 4k game is so far down
