Hero Havoc Simulator v0.8.2 Changelog

v.0.8.2
This is mostly a “Spring Cleaning” update, as in it’s mostly bug fixes and other various polish. There’s a few new bits and pieces though, so check it out!

General Changes:

  • 3 new heroes, all are obtainable from the Robloxia Soul Pack:
    -Polyhex
    -Defaultio
    -lucaduke
  • New event ability: May 2021
    -After being silenced once, this hero becomes immune to silence for the rest of the battle.
  • New featured shop heroes.
  • Added new hidden abilities to the following heroes:
    -Needling
    -Prickles
  • Remade the server notifications to be smaller, faster, and not send duplicate messages anymore.
  • More than one notification can now be displayed at once.
  • Rerolling shop abilities now has an extra Yes/No prompt to protect against accidental purchases.
  • Display names are now shown on the player list and name tags.
  • Added some visual improvements to the player list.
  • Made some changes to gold bar values.
    -Basic gold bar drops from 20 star heroes are now worth the same as regular gold bars (about 40% more than they were).
    -Increased the falloff for gold bar chance stacks by 50%
  • Adjusted the speed stat. Now requires 45 skill points to reach the maximum potential speed.
    -Speed is a very dominant stat in Hero Havoc, and I felt it should take a bit more away from the other stats to reach this cap.
  • Made unique souls and heroes rarer. Overall the rarity is about 4x what it was.
    -The goal here is to make unique heroes feel more special than they currently do.
    -Unique hero rates from the heroulette are unaffected by this change.
  • Made some experimental changes to the way multi attacks work with AoE abilities. They should be a much stronger combination now.
  • Heroes with special attack animations now have less wait time between their attacks, making them closer to other heroes in terms of speed.
  • Unique Andrew’s model is now Dark Andrew, as was popularly requested.
  • Added a little bit of camera shake when explosions happen.
  • Remade the Earthquake/Stalagmites animation.
  • Reduced the amount of lasers visibly fired by Laser Minigun.
  • Added a “pop” sound to zKevin’s plunger attack.
  • Hero attack animations now play faster as they become faster in battle, to help animations not get cut off.
  • Spunch can now be gotten from the Hero Shop and Heroulette.
  • The game will now force a loss if the week changes while you’re in a coliseum battle.
  • Added an orange color to a hero’s level text if they have a shop ability, rather than it sharing colors with event abilities.
    -Made level gradients “sharper” so it’s easier to tell the difference between colors on the gradient.
  • Added experimental support for codes with limited uses. Stay tuned :wink:

Balance Changes:

  • Pizza Warrior
    -Nerfed Pizza Cleaver (All enemies → 3 enemies)
    -The decision not to nerf Pizza Cleaver with the other AoEs before was made before PW was given the Pizza Topping abilities. Having both is way too powerful for a rare tier hero.
  • Pizza Toppings
    -Rebalanced most of them.
    -Extra Cheese (75% defense → 50%)
    -Mushrooms (15% lifeleech → 10%)
    -Anchovies (20% speed → 15%)
    -Broken Glass (20% bleed → 15%)
    -Sausage (50% damage → 30%)
  • Silver
    -Equilibrious now only boosts Silver, rather than your whole team. Now also boosts defense by 0.25% per level difference.
  • clockwork
    -Clockwork’s Calculator gold bar chance buffed, please read bug fixes for more info. (25% → 100%)
  • Blast Girl
    -Increased attack and speed.
    -Supernova stun and burn chances increased. (50% → 75%)
  • Martial Artist wish_z
    -Spontaneous Motivation speed buff increased. (3% → 6%)
    -Spontaneous Motivation wears off sooner. (10 attacks → 5)
    -Fundamentally, this just makes the speed boost reach its max twice as fast as it did.
  • Baka-witch
    -Attacks now hit enemies to the left and right of the target for 20% of the base damage.
  • Captain Atlas
    -Reduced the burn damage caused by Volcanic Rounds. (10% → 5%)
  • Gamer
    -Oppression damage bonus reduced. (70% → 50%)
    -This applies to Oppressive Taunt as well.
  • Double Rainbow
    -Soul conversion rate lowered to align with new unique soul rarity. (10% → 2.5%)
  • Freeze
    -Freeze now lasts 2 turns. Was unintentionally set to last 0 turns, effectively making it almost useless.
    -Fire element heroes unfreeze twice as fast as other heroes.
  • Stun
    -Now only has a 50% chance to prevent attacks, rather than 100%.
  • Silence
    -Shortened length. (10 seconds → 6 seconds)
  • Slow
    -Now has an effect on multi-hit attackers. (such as Minigunner)
  • Burn
    -Now effects pacifist heroes.

Bug Fixes:

  • Clockwork’s Calculator now properly only applies for the next attack, rather than for the rest of the battle.
  • Faberge now properly gets disabled on multi hit heroes when Easter Egg Lad dies. (Minigunner, Pecking Order Midas Owol, etc.)
  • Silver’s “Suppressive Parry” should no longer bypass status immunities.
  • Captain Atlas’ “Earth’s Flight” now properly protects from Earthquake.
  • “Earth’s Protection” is now properly a 30% damage reduction. (was 10% in game’s code)
  • Crit damage now properly applies. Crits boost damage by 50%, plus more with certain abilities.
  • Enemies now properly gain the effects of their aura if they have one.
  • Fixed some situations where battles wouldn’t properly end when all enemies were killed.
  • Closed up that one hole in the map in the forest.
  • Fixed the Unique Spunch title.
  • Winter’s Respite and Tough Shell now properly block the first attack.
    -Additionally, shields now properly stack.
