Apparently the Show Badges option stopped showing up for some players and made their verified tag visible in games again;
someone showed me a screenshot of where they used to have the verification hidden option but as of today that stopped being an option in the game settings for them

This was originally given to people in the video stars program but we recently started a test of the feature for the general population which requires us to individually return the setting to the video star creators. We are currently doing this for those people in the internal channel that video star members should have access to.
Edit: Re-reading i realize you are saying that they had it the day before and now its gone. I’ll take a look into that

hey while you’re here do you plan on giving developers a way to check if player’s badges should be displayed? i’d like to implement support for this for a custom leaderboard ui but there’s currently no way to check this setting to my knowledge

Very useful for competitive games where verified players may be at risk of being targeted unfairly.
Additionally-
Can confirm if a verified user that previously had this feature set to Hide loses the ability to change the setting, the badge does not return and is permanently stuck hidden.
Having this same issue as a developer. I toggled it before to hide the developer badge on the ingame leaderboard, but now the setting, along with the badge, is completely gone. Nothing I can do but wait I suppose.
Hey, apparently this feature is showing more frequently on random users including my brother.
he’s account is not verified but somehow, he also has the option to hide the Display my badge setting.
this should be open for verified creators too! I have it hidden and i cannot unhide it since the option is gone

It never even showed for me, but i really want this feature tho.
the setting disappeared for me last night and i have no way of re enabling my badge in game anymore 
I had the exact same issue I just kept joining games and finally after like 2 days I managed to enable it. phew
Good news I think it’s out for everyone with a badge now!
