I wanted to report a issue with the automated moderation system regarding group funding.
The Issue:
When a user attempts to transfer their own legitimate Robux into their own group by purchasing a clothing item (or asset) created by that group, the automated system misinterprets this large transaction as off-site Robux trading/buying. This results in an automatic account suspension while the Robux are still in “Pending” status.
Steps to Reproduce:
Have a personal account with a legitimate Robux balance.
Create a clothing item/asset inside a group you own.
Purchase that item with your main account to transfer Robux into the group funds.
Wait for the transaction to go into “Pending”.
The automated filter triggers a false-positive ban for off-site trading.
Expected Behavior:
The system should recognize that the transaction is happening between a user and a group they own/manage, allowing legitimate developers to fund their group without getting flagged.
Actual Behavior:
The automated anti-fraud filter flags the transaction as suspicious/off-site trading and suspends the account.
Impact:
This makes it very risky for developers to fund their own groups using their existing Robux balance, as legitimate group funding gets caught in automated anti-fraud sweeps.
Please check the CoderRich4rd account as well. It was also falsely banned for selling Robux during the false ban wave, and I was unable to get it unbanned because I kept receiving AI-generated responses.
My main account (Mertcanes) is still banned; it has been nearly a week since I first posted here. Is anyone looking into this, or will anyone do so? I can provide additional information or answer any questions you might have regarding the ban. The strongest proof that this ban is a mistake is that you can see from my main account’s (Mertcanes) activity logs that no illegal transfers took place.
I’ve been in contact with several large UGC community owners for around a month now and this issue has been happening for this long and has banned many people for the exact same automated flags. This being the only official response from Roblox that I’ve seen is honestly pathetic when it’s legitimately breaking your platform for a large subset of users who work hard to provide value to the platform. I have had to completely pause my own business just out of fear that my 14 year old account would be banned by an automated filter with no appeal.
Still no answer… I was happy when a Roblox staff member messaged me, but even though it’s been about two weeks, my ban still hasn’t been lifted. Meanwhile, I keep sending tickets to Roblox Support, but I keep getting the same rejection message. Isn’t there anyone who can resolve this or help? I’ve been unjustly banned for about three months. I’ve seen other people who were banned this way get unbanned—I don’t know how—but I remain unjustly banned.
