Bitsquid games are looking to hire an Environmental Artist for Hexaria.
What’s Hexaria?
Hexaria is our flagship game and is available on PC and mobile. It’s a unique card-battle MMO that takes place in a completely original, semi-fantasy world.
What will I be doing?
The role requires you to use our custom tools to create the worlds within Hexaria. Everything from the terrain, gameplay assets (buildings, key locations) to lighting that help create an immersive and performance-friendly experience. The maps will be a similar size to the one in the video below. I’ll be your first point of contact and teach you everything you need to know to use the tools available.
What kind of ship do you guys run?
We don’t really have a mission statement, but we usually say that we’re all about getting super cool people to make a super cool game. Everything else is secondary. That being said, this is a job, and you will be expected to treat it that way. Deadlines will be assigned and are expected to be met, communication is SUPER important to us, if you’re having troubles, we’ll be happy to work with you on a case by case basis.

You will be paid on a per place basis. The average price paid per map would be $150, but you can be paid more or less than that depending on quality and expansiveness of the project. We’ll try as hard as we can to be fair, but at the end of the day we’re happy to pay more for someone who is consistent and great to work with. The deadlines for each map would be around 4-5 days, allowing us to provide new content weekly.
How old do I have to be?
At least 13 years old, but hopefully a little older so that we know you’re experienced and mature.

Additional info
We want people who are passionate about the project, so if you haven’t played the game please do so before you apply to make sure you actually like it. There is no predetermined duration of work, so you will be working with us for the foreseeable future.
