Im going to attempt to up my games quality in visual effects, sound effects, animation, GUI and the map. Im considering to hire people who are better at these feilds then me to try make the game as appealing as possible but ive never hired and everyone recommended prices for hiring are quite all over the place as people will say “you should pay people fairly for their time” and others seem to be suggesting the current rate that most people are payed at. i dont want to take advantage of people but also dont want to be taken advantage of by paying more than what its normal.
For specifics:
I have about 20-25 5-7 second long moves (turn based rpg) that need better effects and sounds and some may need new base animations
I have a map that in simple terms would be a 3000x3000 studs square where 75% of it will be blocked out by forest and wouldnt require detail but the remaining 25% should look like this but with abit more noise and colour to it.
it should idealy have more detail in the 2 small towns as well as 2 stray buildings around the wilderness.
With GUI not much but level up screen there are some loose tasks here and there, its hard to give many examples but its quite shotty as it was all made by my amature abilities but i think afew hours of work (im assuming 5-6 hours) it would be fixed and to the simplistic standered that i would like it to be to
some remaining tasks are left after all that but things like partical effects for leveling up or picking up an item from a chest, but there may be more details that may need to be done (i figure these are small even tho i could probs do them on my own i think getting someone who knows how to do these things better than me is a good idea).
I dont have much of a budget in mind at the moment and may have to come back to this when a solid number is there, the general vibe of the game is quite simplistic but i dont want it to be bare bones as thats diffrent.
