[HIRING] Experienced Map Builder for Mega Heist

Hello! We are Saikou - an indie development studio with 200,000+ members, dedicated to making high-quality experiences for all ages since 2017 with our breakout title Military Warfare Tycoon. We’ve recently launched our newest title Mega Heist, for which we are hiring a talented builder.

About The Job

We’re looking for an experienced map/level builder to create new maps for Mega Heist, a round-based Cops vs Robbers game (currently in alpha). I highly recommend playing a few rounds to understand the gameplay flow: 👑 Mega Heist | Play on Roblox

The game already features two maps (Mall and Museum, both built by me), but I’m looking to outsource map creation as I focus on other parts of development.

Map Design Requirements:

  • Fully original maps (interior only)
  • Supports ~10 players (similar scale to existing maps)
  • Optimized (max ~3000 parts, no z-fighting)
  • Semi-realistic style (match existing maps)
  • Multiple escape routes (doors, vents, shortcuts, etc.)
  • Supports ~100 item spawns (4x4x4 items, no modeling needed)
  • 2–3 collection points, spread across the map
  • Themed rooms (e.g. stores, halls, vaults, etc.)
  • Optional unique map mechanics (e.g. shutter doors, cash registers, etc.)
  • Multiple floors allowed, but clear navigation
  • Layouts should encourage chases, strategy, and flow (16–20 walkspeed)
  • Avoid overly large or empty layouts
  • Avoid dead ends, players should almost always have a way out of any room

Workflow:

  • Start with a basic blockout/layout
  • Iterate quickly together
  • Once approved → move to full detailing

You can choose to build (one of) the following maps:

  • Bank
  • Office
  • Hotel

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years in map/level building. A portfolio or examples of past work is required.
  • Communication: Must be able to communicate clearly in English and have Discord.
  • Reliability: Active, responsive, and able to communicate progress consistently throughout the project.
  • Deadline: Able to complete a full map within ~14 days.
  • Bonus: Experience with 3D modeling / asset creation is a plus.

Payment

Payment is 10,000 Robux per map (negotiable). If I really like the map, I will give you a bonus with potential for a full-time position at Saikou.
