[Hiring] Modelers & Animator for a Social World Game

Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to stop by. I know your time and talent are valuable, so I will keep this clear and respectful of both.

About Us

We are a small, passionate team building a social world game on ROBLOX centered around personal spaces and self-expression. Furniture, characters, and fashion are the heart of that experience, so the artists who join us will have a real hand in shaping how the whole game looks and feels.

We are hiring for more than one role, so please do not count yourself out if you specialize in just one area. We would rather have the right person for each role than one person stretched across all of it.

Role 1: Furniture & Decor Artist — FILLED

This role has been filled — thank you to everyone who reached out! We are lucky to have a talented 3D modeler on board for furniture and decor. Keeping this here so you can see the kind of team you would be joining.

Original role description

You would create the home furnishings that players use to build and decorate their spaces.

  • Style: Semi-realistic and grounded. Think clean forms, soft shading, and pieces that read as believable real-world furniture rather than exaggerated or blocky cartoon props.
  • Customization: Each piece needs to support in-game color customization, so models should be built with that in mind (sensible material zones or a texture setup that lets a player recolor the piece cleanly).
  • Animation-ready: Most furniture and decor will be animated (opening drawers, swaying lamps, working appliances, and other small touches of life). Pieces should be modeled so they can be rigged and animated cleanly.

Role 2: Character, Accessory & Clothing Artist

You would help shape how players present themselves in the world.

  • Characters: Stylized avatars that still feel human and grounded, with support for multiple genders and a strong range of customization (features, hair, body options, and more).
  • Clothing & Accessories: A variety of wearable pieces, from everyday outfits to fun accessories.
  • Customization: Some clothing and accessories should be colorable, so players can choose between multiple color variations of the same piece. Building these with recoloring in mind is important.

Role 3: Animator

You would bring the world to life through movement.

  • Characters: animate movement and actions such as walking, idling, sitting, gestures, and emotes.
  • Furniture & decor: animate the interactive and living touches on furnishings (opening drawers, swaying lamps, working appliances, and other small touches of life), working closely with our furniture modeler so everything moves naturally.
  • We value smooth, believable motion that fits the grounded style of the game.

Strong in one area but not another? That is completely fine. Just let us know where your strengths are.

Payment

Payment is negotiable, and we are glad to work out something fair for the scope of your work.

  • We prefer USD.
  • We are also happy to pay in Robux if that is what you would rather have.

Just let us know your preference and your rates when you reach out.

What We Offer You

I believe good work deserves good treatment, so here is what you can expect from us:

  • Fair, agreed-upon payment.
  • Clear briefs and references, so you are never left guessing what we need.
  • Creative room to bring your own eye to the work. Your instincts are part of why we want you here.
  • Prompt communication and honest feedback, delivered kindly.
  • Full credit for your work if you would like it.

How to Apply

If this sounds like something you would enjoy, I would love to see what you can do. Please reach out with:

  • Which role you are applying for (characters/clothing, animation, or both).
  • A portfolio or a few samples of your work relevant to that role.
  • Your rates and rough availability.
  • Anything about the kind of projects you most enjoy. I want to make sure this is a good fit for you as much as for us.
