Modern United States Navy - Warzone/Combat Game
About Us
Hello all, my partner and I, @blubberpug, are looking to outsource the scripting for our upcoming warzone for our modern United States Navy. This is a project that we intended on doing, we started it, made the UI, scripted the UI, but have found ourselves busy in other aspects and cannot continue the development.

About The Job
We are looking for a professional scripter to join our team, either temporarily or permanently. Given we will pay very graciously, we expect high quality scripts that are easy to configure as well as secure as possible from potential exploits. We ask that whomever decides to fill this role have a working microphone; however, it is not required. We also appreciate frequent updates just as confirmation that the work is being completed as expected.
Our game needs the following scripted within a one-to-two week period, the faster the completion, the higher the pay. As stated, I am a programmer myself and if I had the time, I would not expect this to take much more than two week for someone who is experienced.
The following are systems that will need to be scripted.
XP System
The XP System is fairly simple as it will not have a direct affect on gameplay. Primarily, this system is for bragging rights and the advancement of levels. There is a possibility for perks from levels in the future. The thought process for the XP system is that you get so much XP for Kills, Captures, Time-In-Game, etc. There should also be functionality to enable double XP.
This XP will tie to a level system, so essentially as you progress through XP, you achieve higher levels; again, primarily for bragging rights.
In the picture below, you can see how the XP and Level would be displayed.
Coins
The coin system will work similar to any other purchase-able currency system. Essentially, players will be able to purchase coins in the shop (UI already setup). From there, players can purchase various weapons and other perks with their coins.
The screenshot below should clearly explain the goal as it is fairly minimalist. Also keep in mind the numbers used are arbitrary, but green would signify you have enough coins, and red would signify you don’t have enough coins. If the player tries to purchase something without enough coins, a pop-up should appear prompting the purchase of the closest coin amount.
Capture System
- Three capture points dynamically created at the start of the server.
- Will require a terminal of some sort.
- A GUI above the terminal to provide direction to the point.
- Player must stay in the area of the terminal until captured.
- May be paused if an enemy player is in the terminal area.
- Creative freedom designing the terminal.
- Prompt: Team capturing point/Team captured point.
- Some form of GUI on the player’s screen to signify progress.
- Capture points disabled until 5 raiders.
- A capture bar will be at the top of the screen, whichever team fills their bar first wins
- Configurable timer system.
- USN Win cutscene: “another victory for the United States Navy.”
- Hostile Win cutscene: “a battle loss, but the war is not over.”
- Also will display the KO/WO/KDR/Captures for each player.
- Game will reset and picking teams will begin
Loadout System
Essentially, the UI work here has been completed. The part that will need scripted is the checking of which items the player owns, and duplicating TextLabels accordingly. The selection is already working and you can see the progress of that at the game linked above as you click through the various weapon types.
In the screenshot below, you can effectively see the concept. Only owned weapons will be displayed.
Deploy
This is the final element to this project. This is can also be refereed to as the spawn menu, which can also be previewed at the game linked above. Prior to this screen, the player ideally selects the team in which they would like to play on.
The concept here is that you can spawn on any of the capture terminals that you team has captured. In the example below, that would be Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie. The pane on the right would move your camera to the given area for preview.
The next image represents the spawning on team-members, which is only accessible if they own the perk (ignore the image, it’s a placeholder.) If they own the perk, a list of players is generated that are currently spawned. The right pane will also let them preview that character’s current area to determine if they want to spawn there or not.
Payment
Prices are negotiable; however, we plan on starting the project at 60,000 Robux. Of course, given logical reasoning, this price can be increased following a discussion between both parties. We are also open to USD; however, we prefer Robux if possible.
