Hi there!

Tom’s Games is looking for a skilled scripter to join our team and create some systems for our new Christmas game!

:wave: About Us!

Tom’s Games was founded in August 2020 with the ambition of creating fun games for players on the Roblox platform. We have a truly excellent team consisting of some of the best developers that I’ve ever worked with in my 6 years of creating.

We are currently undertaking 3 separate projects each of which we project to be released by June 2021.

Our organisation was recently valued at $4,000USD by a potential parent-company.
We declined this offer.

Why Tom’s Games?

:handshake: The Job

We will be commissioning 1 Gameplay Programmer to complete the following tasks:

  • Server management
  • User-Interface programming
  • Statistics and data handling

Please note you will not be the only gameplay programmer working at Tom’s Games.

:moneybag: Payment

We will be detailing the following salary to our scripter:

7.5% of all organisation revenue (including off-platform revenue)
$5 per hour worked on our games (up to a limited number of hours per week).

Please note any USD payment is only available through PayPal, direct bank transfers will not be accepted.

:handshake: The Interview

In order to properly assess all candidates on a linear and fair scale, we will be interviewing all candidates for the position.

  • You can expect the interview to consist of a programming question (30 minutes).
  • You will then be placed into a Discord call with myself and another member of the Tom’s Games team where we will be asking you some questions (Between 15 - 40 minutes).

We have a few eligibility criteria that must be met for your application to be considered:

  • You must be over the age of 15.
  • You must be fluent in English.
  • You must be willing to sign a collaboration agreement.
  • You must have a background working with the Roblox API.

  • A link to your Roblox portfolio here on the DevForum
  • If you do not have a portfolio here, you may send a Google Document or DocDroid.
  • A short summary of your experience as a scripter (be honest, even if you’re a beginner - we all start somewhere).

You can expect to receive a follow-up email from me shortly after sending your application with details of next steps.
