Mining Race is an original, platform-style quick-paced competitive mining game that utilizes the aspects of teamwork and quick strategies to out-mine the other team. All players are balanced out into even teams with balanced tools and are given one obvious task: MINE! With work comes reward, as each player gains rewards for combos and achievements.
[size=4]In-depth explanation of some in-game elements[/size]. Ores
There are a ton of different ores a player can mine, ranging from Dirt to Diamond. Each ore has a specified value, which puts points towards your teamΓÇÖs Mining Score. It is essential to target the more valuable ores in order to win. This comes with a tradeoff, however; as the more valuable the ore, the higher its rarity. This makes it extremely hard to get combo bonuses if youΓÇÖre just going for Diamonds the whole time.
Combos
Combos are gained from mining a large chain of a certain ore in a short amount of time. The more combos you get, the better chance you have of getting a Combo Bonus. Combo Bonuses reward you with random power ups such as a ΓÇ£Long Range MiningΓÇ¥ or ΓÇ£FOV IncreaseΓÇ¥ to help you mine quicker and easier for a short amount of time.
Power Ups
As previously mentioned, power ups are achieved by obtaining multiple combos while mining. Larger combos fill the Combo Bonus bar faster. Four power ups in total exist (as of now):

[li]Long Range Mining - This allows the user to mine ores from a long distance, useful for ores high up on the roof (out of reach).[/li]
[li]FOV Increase - This allows the player to see ores all around him/her.[/li]
[li]Speed Mining - This allows the player to mine ores really fast.[/li]
[li]Points Boost - This boosts the playerΓÇÖs points output greatly.[/li]

Each combo has a unique effect while ΓÇ£deployingΓÇ¥ it and using it. These combos assist the player in racking up the most points possible in the limited amount of time they have.

Okay, that was definitely the most fun I’ve had in a long while. The game is really competitive and you have to constantly be on your feet to get the upper hand. The bonus time idea is also genius.
Even though it’s explained in the Help, I think the biggest hurdle is the first moment when you wonder “How do I mine?” It may be worth putting the mining mechanic instructions on the loading screen.
The game isn’t bad, it’s kind a fun when you’re bored and want to compete with or against friend.
The first 3 seconds when I joined mid game were like “euhm what’s going on?!” and then I understood the controls. They controls are easy.

I find it annoying when you get a power up and the camera zooms in on your face and you are temporarily disabled from doing anything. Please remove it, it wastes valuable time.
