[hitsquad] Obby Master

Well you ever realize that mostly every obby doesn’t change much unless a user updates it or alters it a little. Yes there are many obbies on roblox but nothing like this. This game has 3 different modes easy, medium, and hard each mode determines the length of the obby and a higher percentage of the mode chosen. For example if i chose easy, the percentage of easy blocks is set to lets say 80% while still having a chance to get medium blocks at like 15% and hard blocks at 5%. There is more then a trillion obbies that can be generated there is not yet infinite but there are a total of 9 free blocks and 6 new blocks for each pack you buy. So you can have up to 27 blocks which gives you 27 chances to get a diffrent block not to mention that the directions also vary so left right up down and diagonal(9). That means in every block there is 243 diffrrent possibilities in the first block

So you’d do 243^length the length would depend on difficulty level which would almost result in endless fun if you like obbies.

Telling everyone would about it would just make people realize that in the year of 2014, free model obbies will no longer be as fun as playing the Obby Master game. You will never seen the same obby twice in your lifetime and that is a fact. You have a better chance of winning the lotto 5 times in a row.

Cool. How are you generating the parts?

I like it, however it doesn’t feel like an obstacle course… it just feels like jumping on bricks. Still, it’s better than all those obstacle courses on the front page by a mile.

8/10.

Personaly, I have more fun playing ‘Stairway To Heaven’ or ‘The Flappy Bird Obby’. Even though they are build in an hour completing them still means more. In ‘Obby Master’, some of the randomly generated bricks randomly become CanCollide = false which means instant death. Since this is extremely unfair (the ‘obby’ is based on luck) I see absolutely no point in playing this. It’s a nice tech demo, nothing more.

[sub]Criticism based on my experience from last week, when the game was still free-to-play.[/sub]

@Erikwesley96 Sorry I never heard of can collide going to false randomly each part has a different wait time its not really luck its timing and its based off the level you choose and your packs that you have. I’m thinking your referring to the blocks that appear then disappear its completely fair all of the obstacles are possible since we made it so there isn’t to many of the same brick in a row. If your doing hard mode don’t expect it to be easy. If a brick is blinking its pretty easy to assume that you will need to be quick on that part, if you didn’t like that obby you could have made a new one its really simple. Saying a 0/10 with all these good comments about the game really means that your rating is biased.

I agree with Erik. One of the main attractions of obstacles courses happens to be the competition factor; people are drawn in by the need to either complete more levels than their friends, or to win the obby just like their counterparts. With your game, that factor is taken away by introducing luck into the mix. Who cares if you got farther; you may have just gotten an easier course.

I don’t understand why you would agree with erik if you look at his games the only reason he has a biased rating is because he doesn’t want games to replace his. His game is different of course but they are the same obbies which is why he says he likes them better. Theres about 500 good comments and only about 20 bad and 5 of those were people that wanted it to be free.

Huh? What does Erik’s game have to do with my point? Just because people don’t always have the same opinion doesn’t mean that they’re being biased.

Excuse me?

External Media

I’ve seen a lot of BS arguments throughout the years, but this one beats all of them.

If all my games were based off obbies i’d be as concerned as you to.

@FiniteReality sharing that would be the purpose of making it a game lol

This discussion is becoming far too inappropriate.

All I can see is, “Eh, your idea is cool but not really fun” and in reply, “WELL YOUR GAMES WILL BE BEATEN ONCE MINE GOES FRONT PAGE HAHAHHAHAH!”

Guys, this is RBXDev.

Well that’s the thing it’s just a discussion, if he would of said like oh its a 1/10 or 2/10 I would of been fine with that opinion but saying its 0 wouldn’t even be close to a non-biased opinion.

I do have to agree that a 0/10 is a little extreme for a rating.

Anyways, cool game idea. I’ll have to try it when I get the chance.

I enjoy the concept and I see that there could be more potential… Yet the thing that puzzles me is why make a person pay 100 Robux just to change the obstacle course slightly?

Why have an entrance fee

Just because of that, I give it an unbiased

[size=6]0/10[/size]

Edit: I just realized the game actually has 775 sales and pointless gamepasses up the ass

That makes my satirical rating into a kind of real one…

Well buying more blocks is just extra you don’t have to buy them and while you think it only alters it slightly if you look at this formula adding more blocks just make the obbies more and more different. Its not like we will stop adding free blocks ether but things like Yellow Block Pass give you moving obstacles which some people enjoy. The more blocks we add or the more blocks you have the more unique the obbies can be. The obby trains you skills so that you can not only have fun but also get better at doing obbies for a low price of 25 robux with over 750 sales and great feedback complaining about the price is just funny lol

Just some cool ideas:

Make a new one generate everyday(like a daily challenge sort of thing) so it encourages the competition between friends. Also, Why not a global leader board that shows the top ranked players, It would be a fun way for competitive people to play some more.

Yeah I like those ideas, Global Leaderboard to showoff between players in the servers. Daily challenges would need to use http for sure most likely i’d have to think about how to switch the daily every day.

Also heres a pick of the pie day block:

It’s cool game, looking forward for updates. Btw add check points because I’m tired of going far then die =P
