I’m not sure what I can say that isn’t blatantly obvious. These ads make the ROBLOX site look bad and they don’t benefit ROBLOX at all. Ad reviewers should hold ads to at least some sort of professional standard when approving them. I vaguely remember a member of the staff asking us if we wanted strict rules on ads similar to the ones for game icons (maybe I’m misremembering that) – yes please. I usually have adblock on, but every once and a while I turn it off for one reason or another and the first thing I notice are these kinds of ads. These shouldn’t be acceptable.
I can only imagine some kid spending hours on a crap ad, and having it denied.
It’s not ROBLOX’s fault if someone doesn’t read that ads have to be at least somewhat professional and blows away hours. They have two eyes, and they should use them.
Edit: “They should provide a tutorial for ads”
Most of these ads aren’t bad by mistake – they’re intentionally aggravating because it gets people to click them.
There are some obviously weird or copied ones, but it’s hard to implement a concrete standard. I think the best thing to do would be to provide an official ad-making tutorial
Standard: Ad must be at least remotely connected to the game. ie: all of the above ads aren’t game related at all, and should be declined, they are just poorly made clickbait

Ah, that’s better. Is false advertising against the rules?

I do not think so. That is literally the only thing I want, ads to be relevant to the item they are advertising.
User ads really do put a damper on ROBLOX’s image. I get embarrassed looking at the site around people because of all the purposefully annoying/stupid ads. :\
That advert was so influential, my gosh. I’m now an elite FaZe clan member of the Anti-Noob Army!
Reposting this thread because good points were made on both sides
Yeah I agree, I showed my lecturer what I have been doing on Roblox as part of my course (We have 90 hours of project work to do) and as I was showing him the site I cringed every time an ad came up similar to the ones above. It was embarrassing…
You don’t see userads if you’re not signed as to the best of my knowledge. However, I would like to see a set of guidelines for the ads, perhaps ROBLOX should provide some form of ad generator which uses a screenshot of the game. That way if users don’t have any graphic experience they’d still be able to have an ad.
