The game has received over 130 million visits in the past month, but we’re currently having serious difficulties updating it and adding new characters because of texture moderation.
Our character skin textures are frequently being rejected for either “sexual content” or “revealing personal information,” even though the textures don’t contain either. Until last week, this happened occasionally, maybe once every 10 uploads. Now, the situation has become much worse. We sometimes need to upload the same valid texture around 10 times before one version is accepted.
This is also causing warnings and temporary bans on our development accounts. As a result, we’ve had to use alternate accounts for texture uploads to avoid putting our main development accounts at risk.
The sudden increase in false positives is making it extremely difficult for us to maintain and update a game of this scale. We’d really appreciate any help investigating what changed recently and whether there is a way to prevent legitimate character textures from being incorrectly flagged.
