This is a recreation of the opening/closing scene of a MV for a song I’ve recently enjoyed listening to.
The whole project took about 2 days.
In the actual game, you start in a dark hallway and when you enter the room, the lights increase in brightness which is why the screenshots below look as if they wouldn’t match.
From what I see through these screenshots, it is very well built and the small details you put in really paid off. The way you presented this build in-game is nice.
I have nothing to critique, but maybe you could add comparison shots of the room you recreated on this thread. Other than that, I really like the build overall!
Now I can confirm you nailed the details of this build! I have some things to critique regarding the lighting and the colors, but it should be easy to play with.
I notice the lighting in the MV is bluish when your build has more of a yellower tone. I think if you change the lights up on the ceiling to shine more white and then intensify the blue lighting from the computer system, it would better match the MV. You should also brighten the room up to remove some of the darker shadows, which you don’t really see in the MV. Finally, the blue color you used for the floor should be more pastel-like.
I hope I didn’t annoy you with my nit-picking, once I see a comparison between one thing recreating the other, the details pop out more. Anyway, the fact that you got every little thing down as seen in the MV in two days is pretty impressive. Good job!
I really appreciate the feedback! I was actually going for the scene at the end of the video (after she has recorded her memories) as the lighting for the room changes to the yellowy-orange colour I’ve used. I felt this gave a warmer feel but I’ll definitely play around with the blue to see which gives a more coherent feel to the build
I’ll also work on fixing those dark patches! I’m not very experienced with lighting
This build is amazing! I would recommend putting a little more detail on the left and right walls inside the room. Everything looks stunning but those semi-plain walls.
