stil nothing, im guessing we are going to be waiting for a really long time for an update because roblox is unplayable right now.
Yep, I switched my game to soft lighting because realistic is just 14fps
Hi! Hope youâre doing well. I just wanted to follow up and see if there are any updates on the problem, or an estimated timeframe.
oh wow i dont know what happened but itâs working fine now!
Im on version df7528517c6849f7
running on rtx 3060
Weâve been unable to trace the fix to anything within scripting. If there are any changes or new info, please let us know in this thread.
is microprofiler showing inaccurate spikes?
Lag has gotten a bit worse to be fair.
That doesnât make any sense. Then why does MicroProfiler show the huge spikes tied back to Robloxâs own systems. We have done our due diligence and even given countless of our MicroProfiler so something is clearly wrong if server / client performance is buckling down after the recent updates and it should be pretty clear as you can clearly see things out of our hands that are appearing and buckling down the game:
Especially since your own co-worker as also said there seems to be a big increase as well.
I am also having this issue, namely with the lighting service. When I try and run a heavy load revolving around a simple experiment with light manipulation, the test place is super slow
addon: relevant disclosure, I thought this was something I did until @FiveCylinder pinged everybody in his discord regarding it. While Iâm not a fan of his business practices or the way him and his cohorts behave, I think that this is a real issue that while itâs only slowing down my âscrew around projectsâ, itâs having real effects on davidâs actual game and community.
what does this have to do with a bug we are reporting
We agree that thereâs a regression in performance! But we havenât yet found the issue. Weâre pretty sure itâs not within scripting, but it could be in any number of other areas. Iâll bump the investigation internally to make sure it gets followed up on.
I can also confirm this, I was playing ultimate driving yesterday and my client was chugging at 10-30fps the whole time which is borderline unplayable. My system was basically idle so this was not a resource problem.
Hi all. If youâre still experiencing performance issues, do you have the âMaterialVariant Alpha Modeâ beta feature enabled? And if so, could you try disabling it and let me know if the performance issues go away?
Ours was off by default, little confused on how a studio beta feature would affect other peoples clients as isnât it a studio beta (hasnât been released to other clients)?
Just started occurring on my Mac if it helps.
I get a lot of WaitOnGpu which also seems to hold up frametime.
Microprofiler if needed
So, are there any updates on this? Performance kind of matters yaknow.
