Recently I’ve been trying to create a realistic lighting system for my game, and I stumbled upon these reflections and thought they looked really nice. So far I’ve tried messing around with transparency, reflectance, material, etc, but I can’t figure out what is actually happening here:
Im looking at it again now and it might be that but the weird thing is that its the same thing in every window. Can you get decals or surfaceGuis? to have similar behavior?
Use “realistic” lighting mode, make sure your window is glass texture, and your window frame is metal. (Not plastic!) You can play around with the “reflection” slider a little bit but don’t make it too extreme! It will turn blue and look like a mirror. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
This is exactly what I was looking for, Thanks! Do you know if the materialVariant has to be plastic or if it can be applied to other materials? If not thats fine I’m just kind of curious
I’m glad I could help you! To answer your question, yes, the material variant must be plastic because it overrides the plastic material. You can find more information from here:
