Hello! I am making a round based combat game. I want to monetize with some sort of currency as well as allow for some more interesting game mechanics. In order for people to want it, it has to have some value in game. Currency is hard in round based combat games because you mainly only buy cosmetic changes. What’s something I could allow the players to buy? I don’t want to give away to much of the game but everyone fights with weapons in a map until there is one player standing. I’m thinking it would be neat if players could use their coins during the match so it would have value to them through their whole time playing rather than during an intermission. Any ideas on mechanics, or other uses for coins?

Maybe to regenerate health or to give two lives, possibly? Just my two cents.
That’s a good idea, only issue is players with cash become invincible.
