I honestly feel like an average playtime of 35 minutes is unrealistic for any shooter of this type on roblox, the playtime stat is simply unobtainable, I would love any suggestions or feedback
One thing i noticed is some of the thumbnails are a bit misleading, making it look like you curve bullets. (Which i dont think happens?)
A short gameplay video (someone flying through a wall after being shot) may give people a better idea what theyre getting into so you have less short timers bringing down your average.
Idk what other people think, but when i see a goal of “Play for 10 minutes” i want to leave
thats probably just me.
Damn. I might change the 10 minute playtime task since you don’t like it. I’ll also try to find better thumbnails for my game. Thank you for the suggestions/feedback. ![]()
honestly man don’t touch anything, the game’s great and the thumbnail’s great too. that 35 min thing makes sense to worry about but think about where that traffic’s actually coming from, it’s basically all ads right now, and ad clicks are mostly randoms and fresh accounts who have no reason to stick around yet. that’s just how cold traffic behaves, doesn’t matter how good the game is.
so honestly getting the numbers you’re getting from that kind of audience is actually pretty good, not bad. you’re basically looking at your worst case scenario for playtime and it’s still holding up fine.
once you start getting into home page/recommended, you’ll see a real difference. those are people who actually chose to click, probably already have some context on the game, so they stick around longer. that’s when you’ll get a real read on your actual playtime number.
so yeah don’t change the game based on what the ad traffic is telling you. just wait til you’re getting organic traffic and see what the number looks like then, that’s the one that actually matters
Bro you don’t even realise how much this made my day, thank you so much
. I feel so much more motivated now thanks to you. I guess I shouldn’t change too much then. Seriously tho ty.
The only issue with the game is that this concept is used like multiple times, therefore theres some games overshadowing your game not just by play count but by the fact its too similar that people will not differentiate them easily. I like the break the wall idea, really cool physics. Next step is to just continue advertising.
