How can I improve the monetization on this obby?

This is my game, it recently started getting some players, so now I have quite reliable analytics. But now I concluded that my monetization is around 0.3 robux per visit on all devices, which is really bad.
Currently almost everything I earn is from the skip-stage developer product, and a little bit from speed- and gravitycoils.
Even though this is an obby, is there any way I can improve the monetization, should I add more gamepasses or developer products, or should I promote the current ones and change their prices? Any tips would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance

This is a list of gamepasses I have now:

  • gravity coil: 89 robux
  • speed coil: 121 robux
  • double money: 99 robux

Hm, monetization you say?

Inside your experience, you have named the same currency both “Gems” and “Diamonds”. You should stick with one name for clarity so players don’t get confused - may lead to more sales, who knows?

Instead of having pets you directly purchase you could replace them with different types of eggs that players can hatch with different rarities. This will help massively with monetization because players will want to hatch the rarest pet in the experience.

If a player attempts to purchase a pet/egg when they can’t afford it, you should prompt or show different currency options.

Lastly, you could introduce a “Starter Pack” for new players that want to quickly get ahead in the experience. The benefits could be, “+5 Skips”, “+500 Gems” and an exclusive pet.

Hope that helps, good luck with your experience!

Thanks a lot for all of these tips, I will implement and change them soon :grinning:

Possibly a controversial opinion here: Putting the in-game purchases in a shop (having a shop button) is a bad idea. A random player is not joining your game with the intention to spend money. They are not going shopping. What reason would they have to press the shop button? No, it’s better to directly expose players to the product. That’s probably why your free skips are getting the bulk of the sales.

Some obbies have displays inserted into the game world that prompt a purchase when you walk over them. A less intrusive option would be gui buttons in the side menu for each purchase.
