I’m trash at animation. I don’t know how to manipulate the camera or player. I barely have any knowledge of vfx.
How did you learn to make good cutscenes and be good at animation?

I’m not an animator, but I know a thing or two about cutscenes themselves. As a viewer of cutscenes, a lot of people underappreciate perspective. The camera angle says a lot, almost as much as the animation itself. Get the camera to move, and it will do some of the work for you. You can also use camera angles to hide low quality animations.
Manipulating the camera itself is an animation. That’s more of a game infrastructure thing. You can script it by manually having a list of CFrames, or embed it into a part that is animated. The problem is actually testing the animation, which is impossible with Roblox’s default animation infrastructure, so you should probably make your own.
R15 is typically easier to animate with in my experience, ever since IK came out in 2019 or so. It has since been deprecated, removed, and remade as a different IK thing for R15. This can help make natural movements for animation.
Also, make sure to embed other animations into your animation, like the default walking animation, to make it easy on yourself. This is the most important part. I have never done this myself and have instead found creative ways that don’t involve animation to represent scenes, but when an animation is necessary again, I might use this technique.
