In my boxing game I’m planning to have different spots of the opposing fighter to be hit, this goes for the head and body. I have the animations, keybinds, hitboxes setup however for the punch animation to connect with the head/body, both fighters would have to be the same height and I’m planning to allow for character customization so obviously they wouldn’t be the same height, so as of now if a fighter is taller then the other jabs would just go to the other fighters chest, which happens in boxing but obviously most jabs are aimed at the head. I just need a idea of how I could make the players arm go to the body/head, not even sure if this is possible but if it is please let me know.
Could I use maginitude to achive this? I’ve been thinking of having 3 different situations where 3 different animations could play, i.e If the opposing fighter is above have a upwards jab, same level regular jab and if their below downward jab. Not sure how I would start this tho.
you wont be able to use roblox animations for this, you need to use inverse kinematics and move the hand towards where the player clicked! This is very complicated, I guess it would look fine if you just did it with 3 preprogrammed animations. I do wish Roblox had this by default, like Unity: Unity - Manual: Inverse Kinematics
