I am making a shooter game, and I was wondering how I could improve this environment. the player can crouch and crawl, so bushes are nice to have.
I will change the lighting as well if needed

This is a really limiting play space for a shooter game that will result in a lot of stalemates or basecamping and spawnkilling.
What modes would you intend to play on a map like thi?
not really a game mode, just killing. items will spawn around the map.
also this is about a 1/4 of the map
In terms of lighting , get rid of the DepthOfField effect
Well then I would for sure aim for more square shaped maps with multiple flanking routes and enough cover to hide players, and different spawns laid out more evenly vs. at two points. Spawn switching definitely helps too but that might be to complicated. Lack of symmetry is always nice too. The canals on the side are a good start but will probably just be cleared out by camping players.
Currently the map is going to stalemate or get basecamped way too easily. There’s not enough routes to get around players. The cover functions for protecting players but not for obscuring them.
Environment and theming wise it looks fine, though I would ask yourself what is this meant to represent, and then reflecting that more clearly. Instead of giant terrain walls, unplayable parts of the map that extend beyond the players vision bring a lot of scale.
I have bots on each team, and the worst a team is doing the better gear the bots will get, which will completely counter camping. I would prefer to keep the map rectangle, as I like the straightforward map
Plenty of games have bots and they don’t help because players simply trump the intelligence of AI 100% of the time. Especially Roblox bots which are pretty buggy.
You can keep the rectangular shape but there should be a bit more variety in map flow than just running to either end, and more variety in cover and environments than just houses and canals.
In general, linear maps work better with linear modes. For team deathmatch type affairs I would definitely recommend squarer maps. But you do you.
whats some variety I could add?
The border is the only thing making it ugly imo
Make one (or multiple) of the wood bridges a suspension bridge with a gap in the middle, similar to what Apocalypse Rising 2 does. This makes it to where you can’t get destroyed while crossing the bridge due to the bridge being a straight path.
I don’t know enough about what’s in your mind, but what are you trying to go for with this map? Where does it take place?
Putting your map in a real world situation will help you create natural feeling and looking environments.
As for gameplay, it depends on what you’re going for with playercount, but in general you just want to make sure players can escape a spawnkill, especially with no moving spawns. Look to your favorite games for inspiration and you’ll see how they lay out their maps.
