How do assets with .rbxl work?

Hey. This is a really stupid and basic question, but I was wondering if I created a published baseplate with a bunch of image assets in it and I exported it as an .rbxl file, would all the assets show for anyone else who opens the .rbxl file? I’m unsure because there’s a .lock file and all.

Alright, thanks! I’m curious, why did Studio save a .lock file alongside my .rbxl? I assumed it had to do with assets but apparently not.
